Privacy Policy
This policy explains how The Bukit Besi handles information on https://tool.thebukitbesi.com ("this site"). Tools listed here that open on https://www.thebukitbesi.com are covered by that site's privacy policy.
Information you enter into calculators
Calculators on this site, including the salary calculator, run entirely in your browser. The salary, reliefs and other figures you enter are not sent to us or stored on a server. When you copy a result link, your inputs are kept in the part of the address after the # sign, which browsers do not send to websites.
What we do not collect
This site has no user accounts, sign-up forms or comment system, and it does not use analytics or tracking scripts of its own.
Information stored on your device
- Theme preference: if you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name
tbb-theme. - Offline copy: a service worker saves this site's pages, scripts and icons in your browser's cache so they open without an internet connection.
Neither is shared with us. You can remove both at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Hosting
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may record technical information such as IP addresses in server logs to operate and secure the service. See the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
