List to Paragraph Converter
Paste a list with one item per line and it becomes one paragraph or comma-separated line instantly: bullets and numbers are removed and the last item gets "and" (Oxford comma optional), so Apples, Bananas, Cherries becomes Apples, Bananas, and Cherries. Switch to Paragraph to list to split text into bullets, numbers or an HTML list.

Rules the converter follows
- Oxford comma: on by default (Chicago Manual of Style, APA); untick it for AP and most British style. Two items never get a comma: "tea and coffee".
- CSV quoting: double quotes inside an item are doubled (
say "hi"becomes"say ""hi"""), as in RFC 4180. - Sentence splitting: a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark followed by a space ends a sentence, except after common abbreviations (Dr., Prof., Sdn., Bhd., e.g., a.m.) or before a lowercase word.
- Final conjunction: "and", "or", "dan" and "atau" after the last comma separate the last two items; "and" inside an item such as "salt and pepper" is kept.
Note: the converter does not change capitalisation. To make the joined paragraph sentence case, run it through the case converter.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a list into a paragraph?
Paste the list with one item per line and choose a separator. Bullets, numbers and check boxes are removed first, then the items are joined: Apples, Bananas and Cherries on three lines become "Apples, Bananas, and Cherries" with the default comma-and-"and" separator. Copy the result or press Use result to keep editing it.
How do I turn a list into comma-separated values?
Choose Comma as the separator. For an SQL IN list or a spreadsheet, also choose quotes: single quotes give 'Apples', 'Bananas', 'Cherries', and double quotes give CSV, where a quote inside an item is doubled as RFC 4180 requires. A blank line starts a new comma-separated line unless you untick Keep paragraphs.
Should I use the Oxford comma?
Both are correct; be consistent. The Oxford (serial) comma before the final "and" is standard in American style guides such as Chicago and APA: "Apples, Bananas, and Cherries". Most British news style and the AP Stylebook leave it out: "Apples, Bananas and Cherries". Untick Oxford comma to drop it. Malay lists never take one: "epal, pisang dan ceri".
How do I split a paragraph into a list?
Switch to Paragraph to list. Auto splits at commas and semicolons (and treats the final "and", "or", "dan" or "atau" as a separator), or at sentences when there are no commas. Choose dashes, bullets, numbers, letters, a checklist or an HTML list, and tick Remove full stops to drop the trailing full stop from each item.
Will it split "salt and pepper" into two items?
No. Only the "and" or "or" after the last comma is treated as a separator, so "salt and pepper, rice" stays two items. Sentence splitting also ignores the full stops in abbreviations such as Dr., Sdn. Bhd. and a.m., and in decimals such as 9.30.
Can I turn each line into a sentence?
Yes. Choose the Sentences separator: each line becomes a sentence and a full stop is added where the line has no ending punctuation, so numbered steps turn into a readable paragraph. Lines that already end with ? or ! keep it.
Is my text saved or uploaded?
Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser. Your last text is kept in this browser's local storage so it survives a reload; Clear removes it. Only the options (not the text) are stored in the page address, so a shared link opens with the same settings.
