Frequently asked questions

How much is a summons if I pay early in 2026?

For a RM300 compound, pay RM150 within 15 days of the notice date, RM200 from day 16 to 30, and RM300 from day 31 to 60. The scheme applies to JPJ and PDRM from 1 January 2026.

What happens if I do not pay within 60 days?

From day 61 there is no compound offer. The case can go to court, and your driving licence or road tax can be blacklisted until it is settled.

Are there still summons discount campaigns?

No. From 1 January 2026 discount campaigns were replaced by fixed tiered rates. The last campaign (PDRM up to 70%, JPJ 50%) ended on 30 December 2025.

Do AwAS camera summonses get these rates?

Yes, for AwAS summonses issued in 2026: RM150, RM200 or RM300 depending on when you pay. AwAS summonses from before 2026 get no reduction. Blacklisted AwAS summonses can be paid in the MyJPJ app from 18 March 2026.

Which offences cannot be compounded?

Offences such as no insurance, no or invalid road tax, no driving licence and racing go straight to court. This calculator is for compoundable offences only.

Where can I pay my summons?

PDRM summonses through MyBayar PDRM, police station traffic counters or post offices. JPJ and AwAS summonses through the MyJPJ app, the JPJ portal or JPJ counters.

Will the maximum compound go up?

The Road Transport (Amendment) Act 2026, passed by the Dewan Rakyat on 24 June 2026, raises the maximum compound from RM300 to RM500 from 1 January 2029. The pay-early scheme stays.
