How age is worked out
- Years and months: full months since the date of birth; if the day of birth does not exist in a month (say the 31st), the month's last day is used.
- Days: the days left after the last full month.
- 29 February: the birthday falls on 1 March in common years.
- Hijri age: the date of birth and today are converted to Malaysia's Hijri takwim, then the Hijri years and months are counted.
