Tip: the HTML is safe to paste because your text is escaped, but always paste it into the HTML view of your editor, not the visual one, or you will see the tags as text.

How do I convert text to HTML?
Paste your text and the HTML appears at once: each block separated by a blank line becomes a <p> paragraph, line breaks inside a block become <br>, lines starting with - or 1. become lists, and web addresses become links. Copy the code into your website's HTML editor, or download it as a complete web page.
What is the difference between <p> and <br>?
<p> marks a paragraph, a block of text with space above and below; <br> is a line break inside a paragraph, used for addresses, poems and short lines. Use a blank line in your text where you want a new paragraph, and a single line break where you only want a new line. Untick Keep line breaks to join the lines of each paragraph instead.
Why are < and & changed in the HTML?
Characters that mean something in HTML must be escaped to show as text: < becomes <, > becomes >, & becomes & and " becomes ". Without this, text like <b> or a stray & could break your page or, if it came from someone else, run code. The converter escapes every one, so "5 < 10 & 20 > 15" shows exactly as typed.
Can it convert Markdown to HTML?
Yes. Choose Markdown and write # for headings, **bold**, *italic*, ~~strikethrough~~, - for lists, - [ ] for task lists, > for quotes, backticks for code and [text](https://link) for links. Links with unsafe schemes such as javascript: are removed.
How do I paste the HTML into Blogger or WordPress?
In Blogger, switch the post editor from Compose view to HTML view and paste. In WordPress, add a Custom HTML block, or open the block's menu and choose Edit as HTML. Pasting HTML into the normal visual editor shows the code as text instead of formatting it.
Should links open in a new tab or use nofollow?
Links in your own content usually open in the same tab. Tick Open links in a new tab for references you want readers to keep your page open for; the tool then adds rel="noopener" for security. Tick nofollow for links you do not want to vouch for; Google treats nofollow as a hint, and recommends rel="sponsored" for paid or affiliate links.
How do I convert HTML back to plain text?
Choose HTML to text and paste the HTML. Tags, scripts and styles are removed, paragraphs and line breaks are kept, list items become bullets, links keep their address in brackets, and entities such as & and ’ turn back into & and ’.
