J&T waybill number format
- J&T calls the tracking number a waybill number. Each waybill covers one parcel.
- Malaysian J&T waybills are usually 12 digits with no letters.
- FedEx also uses 12-digit numbers, so the tracker shows both. For a local online order, J&T is almost always the right one.
- On Shopee, Lazada or TikTok Shop, the waybill appears under the order's shipping information once the seller ships.

J&T tracking statuses explained

| Picked up | A rider collected the parcel, or the sender dropped it at a J&T drop point. |
| Arrival | The parcel reached a transit centre or gateway. |
| Departure | The parcel left that centre for the next one, or for your area's drop point. |
| On delivery | A rider has the parcel for delivery to you. |
| Delivered | J&T recorded the delivery. |
| On hold | Progress is paused, for example because the drop point is closed, bad weather, or an address problem. |
| Return | The parcel is going back to the sender. |
Why J&T tracking has gaps
J&T scans a parcel at key points, such as pick-up, each transit centre and delivery, not continuously. A day without an update on a long route, or between Peninsular and East Malaysia, is normal.
When to chase a J&T parcel
- No movement for more than 48 hours (longer after public holidays and sales such as 11.11).
- Check the waybill and your address on the order page first.
- Ask the seller: sellers who ship often have a direct contact at J&T.
- Then contact J&T through its official website or app with the waybill number.
About J&T Express Malaysia
According to the company, J&T Express entered Malaysia in January 2018 and launched officially in August 2018. It runs a nationwide network of drop points, where you can send a parcel over the counter, and transit gateways.
